ConvertKit Review

That email marketing service ConvertKit has received some attention in the last couple of years, and you’re probably wondering whether or not it’s worth it to try it out. So I decided to create this detailed review that will give you all the details you need to make an informed decision before you sign up with ConvertKit, so let’s get started! (Read the full review.)

What Is ConvertKit?

ConvertKit is an email marketing service that’s been around since 2013. The company prides itself on being a full-service platform that caters to professional bloggers and online entrepreneurs. With ConvertKit, users can easily manage their subscriber lists, organize their campaigns, send automated emails (if you want), and even schedule messages in advance. When compared to other email service providers like MailChimp or Aweber, ConvertKit is targeted more toward content creators than your traditional ecommerce shop owner. It's priced at $49 per month for 500 subscribers, which makes it about mid-range as far as price goes.

Why Use A Service Like ConvertKit?

Email marketing is a great way to build an online business, but it does require a lot of work. You'll have to create your email templates and collect subscribers. Also, many services like MailChimp don't offer advanced features that can help make running your online business easier. That's where ConvertKit comes in; it offers lots of great features to help you grow your email list, run more targeted campaigns, and track conversion rates on emails sent out through its platform. How Does It Work?

ConvertKit is an email service provider (ESP) that also has many of features you’d expect to find in a content management system (CMS). It’s primarily designed for use by content creators, such as bloggers and podcasters. If you create information products and sell them via email, ConvertKit can help you do it better. However, there are many features that could be helpful to anyone who uses email marketing. It all depends on how much time you want to invest in building your own custom marketing tools versus using ones that have already been built. No matter what your skills or interests are, there's a good chance Convert Kit can help you reach more people with less effort than before.

Pricing & Packages

ConvertKit has four pricing packages that offer different options for how many emails you send and how many subscribers you have. Pricing starts at $29 per month for up to 500 subscribers, 10,000 emails per month, and un-tracked links. You can increase your pricing by upgrading to one of their bigger plans at $49 (1,000 subscribers/25,000 emails), $79 (2,500 subscribers/50,000 emails), or $199 (5,000 subscribers/100,000 emails). They also offer a 14-day free trial if you're just testing out their service. There are no contracts so you can cancel anytime. If money is tight but growing your email list is important I recommend starting with their free plan and upgrading later when funds allow it.

Resources, Community & Support

In addition to a wide range of well-designed templates, ConvertKit also offers resources, training, and support. The resources are great if you want to learn more about best practices for email marketing or just want some inspiration. The training helps get you going if you’re new to email marketing while support is responsive and helpful in getting you up and running quickly. If you have questions beyond what is offered through both resources and their free live chat help service, ConvertKit also has a higher tier at $199/month that includes phone support. Overall, I highly recommend checking out ConvertKit if you’re looking for an email service provider that offers enough flexibility to work with any size business (and budget). It’s flexible enough for personal use as well!
